The Paranormal ( Paranormal Phenomenon/Phenomena)
Why "Paranormal?"
Paranormal means something ( unusual experiences, mysterious occurrences, abilities, sightings, objects, encounters, ..)
that is beyond the range of scientific explanation.
Paranormal Phenomena - Extraterrestrial life

Ghosts from a Christian point of view - What the Bible says
Ghosts, Spirits, and the Paranormal
GHOST; Spirit; the soul of man. The soul of a deceased person; the soul or spirit separated from the body; an apparition.
SPIRIT; The soul of man; the intelligent, immaterial and immortal part of human beings. An apparition; a ghost.
PARANORMAL; Beyond the range of normal experience or scientific explanation.
In coming to logical explanations (in the absence of scientific facts) about ghost, spirits, and the paranormal, we
must base our source of logic and facts from the Word of God.

FACT 1: People see or experience things that are unexplainable by scientific means, such as "ghost" or spirits,
or the paranormal (floating table, bending spoon, etc).

FACT 2: The unexplainable paranormal creates confusion and fear.
Examples...Matthew 14:26-27 and Luke 24:37-43
God is not the author of confusion - I Cor. 14:33
God doesn't give us the SPIRIT of fear - 2 Tim. 1:7

FACT 3: Ghosts are not people caught between their body and the "afterlife" as suggested by numerous websites
and "ghost hunters".
Luke 16 shows us that when a person dies, they go to Heaven or Hell.

FACT 4: Your soul does not go into "Soul Sleep" when you die, as also suggested.
Eccl. 12:7 Shows that the body returns to the ground, and the SPIRIT returns to God.
I Kings 17:17-23 Shows that the SOUL departs from the body at death.
Luke 8:49-56 Shows that the SPIRIT also departs the body at death.

FACT 5: When a person dies...the body goes to the grave, and the spirit and soul go to either heaven or hell.
James 2:26, "For as the body without the spirit is dead..."
2Co 5:8; "... to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."
Luke 16:19-31 (Rich man and Lazarus)
In the very beginning, the natural man was taken from the ground (dust) "and unto dust shalt thou return" (Genesis 2:7; 3:19).
In other words, flesh was to go back from which it came, and the breath of life (spirit - see Genesis 6:17; 7:22) was to go
back to the one that gave it.
"Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit (Breath of Life) shall return unto God who gave it"
(Ecclesiastes 12:7). When God "taketh away their breath, they (men) die (physically),and return to their dust"
(Psalm 104:29).

FACT 6: Ghosts, therefore, are not human. They are "spirits".

FACT 7: Ghosts (Spirits) are never angels and angels are never ghosts (Spirits)
Angels have bodies. Devils do not. They are "Disembodied Spirits" that can enter in, take possession of, or control
human beings. They can take the form of a person or thing. They can materialize before your eyes. They are the real
Ghosts.
Angels are seen all throughout the Bible (94 times in the Bible), but never as "Ghosts". Angels are men (NEVER WOMEN)
WITHOUT WINGS!.
Cherubim's have wings, but even they are men. The only angels in the Bible that are women (and they had wings) are
wicked angels of Satan, who are building Babylon (Zech. 5:5-11). Everything you've ever been told or seen about angel's
is the world's idea of what an angel looks like and it is contrary to what the Bible says. Here are a few of the numerous
Scriptures...
Sent to minister to Christians (Heb. 1:13-14)
To protect from harm (Ps. 91:11-12)
Cherubim placed in Eden (Gen. 3:24)
Two angels sent to bring Lot out of Sodom (Gen. 19:1-29)
Jacob saw angels ascending and descending (Gen. 28:10-19)
Jacob wrestled with an angel
Angel brought Elijah bread and water (I Kings 19:4-8)
Angels fought for Elisha (2 Kings 6:13-18)
The Angel of the Lord killed Sennacherib's army 2 Kings 19:4-8)
Angels shut the lions mouth for Daniel (Dan. 6:19-22)
Angel appeared to Mary (Luke 1:26-35)
Angels appeared to the shepherds (Luke 2:8-15)
Angel warned Joseph to flee out of Egypt (Matt. 2:13-19)
Angels ministered to Jesus (Matt. 4:11)
Angel strengthened Jesus (Luke 22:43)
Angel appeared to the women at the tomb (Matt. 28:5-7)
An angel freed the apostles (Acts 5:19; 12:5-10)
Angel notified Paul that they'd be saved (Acts 27:21-24)
Angels will gathered God's elect (Matt. 24:31)
Angels will sever the wicked from the just (Matt. 13:47-50)

FACT 8: Ghost (Spirits) are SEDUCING SPIRITS. The sighting of a "ghost" does not bring a person closer to God.
It makes them more interested in "Ghost" and the experience they had. The "Ghost" that are seen are seducing spirits
that cause a person to travel into the realm of darkness to figure out if what they saw was real, and who else is experiencing
similar events.
I Tim. 4:1-3; "Now the Spirit (Holy Spirit) speaketh expressly, that in the latter times (the last days of this Dispensation)
some shall depart from the faith (to give up the Christian faith) giving heed (listening and paying attention) to SEDUCING
SPIRITS and DOCTRINES OF DEVILS..."

FACT 9: SEDUCING SPIRITS are devils/demons! That the demons have personality is clear from the fact that Jesus
conversed with them, asked questions of them, and received answers (Lk. 8:26-33).
They can cause DUMBNESS (Matt. 9:32-33), BLINDNESS (Matt. 12:22), INSANITY (Luke 8:26-35), SUICIDAL
TENDENCIES (Mark 9:22), PERSONAL INJURIES (Mark 9:18; Acts 19:15-16), and IMPART SUPERNATURAL
STRENGTH(Luke 8:29) and INFLICT DEFECTS and DEFORMITIES (Luke 13:11-17).

FACT 10: Ghosts (Spirits) often portray a person, but never a real (physical) person. "Familiar" or "Evil Spirits" may
impersonate the dead, but they cannot produce them. Only God can do that; and He only did so once in Scripture
(I Sam. 28:3-25).

KEY Facts of Matthew. 14:26-27
Jesus walked on the water to the disciples who were in the ship, they were afraid and called out for fear, "IT IS A SPIRIT".
In otherwords..."AAAAHHHHHH! It's a GHOST!" Jesus told them not to be afraid because it was Him. Peter wanted to
know for sure and asked to come to Jesus on the water...and you know the rest of the true story.

KEY Facts of Luke 24:37-43
Jesus mysteriously materialized in the midst of the disciples (the doors were shut for fear of the Jews, John 20:19).
At first they were terrified and afraid because they thought they were looking at a GHOST.
Jesus asked why they were afraid and having fearful thoughts. Jesus said to look at the His hands and feet to tell that
it was Him (He had nail holes), because GHOSTS don't have flesh or bones! The disciples were still scared and skeptical,
so Jesus ate some food in front of them to prove He wasn't a GHOST!
Both of these true accounts of Jesus Christ prove that...
Ghost are real
Ghost can appear out of nowhere
Ghost can talk
Ghost produce fear (2 Tim. 1:7)
Ghost are never real people (flesh and bones), but are SPIRITS
Ghost cannot eat food
Ghost are not of God

FACT 12: If what you see is not a physical person, it is a devil (2 Cor. 11:14)

FACT 13: You may encounter angels but you may never know for sure (Heb. 13:2)
They will be human
They will be male
They will be physical

FACT 14: Studying ghost and spirits is not important. Studying the "TRUTH" (John 14:6) is!
Rom 16:19; "For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have
you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil."
John 8:32; "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

FACT 15: Staying away from GHOST, SPIRITS, DEVILS, and the PARANORMAL can only do you good.
